Twilight Zone Opening.
My design brief was to create an animated short set to spoken-word audio. It stated the animation needs to demonstrate accurate timing, pacing and rhythm. The content itself was left open-ended to students.
I chose to reimagine the opening to the series The Twilight Zone, narrated by Rod Serling. The target audience of this project is fans of retro television classics.
Process.
The design process was to create a mood board, a storyboard, an animatic (animated storyboard), and finally the finished product. He uses very descriptive language while speaking, which created an interesting opportunity to brainstorm accompanying visuals.
